Fresh Image

I didn't originally plan to take photography as a class this year, but in doing so, I learned a tremendous amount of skills to use with and behind the camera.  With the use of Adobe Photoshop, Mac Computers, and digital cameras I learned how to manipulate photos in order to enhance their qualities.  In a more complicated, traditional sense I used a 35 mm black and white film camera to document life in addition to learning how to develop both film and prints.  So this blog is a pretty much a collection of terrible, half decent, and possibly in the end, good photography.

At the moment this is my favorite black and white film photographs.  The sign is located in Philadelphia and I found it funny that there was a group of guys skateboarding about a block away; there was something so bad-ass about it.  Throughout the day, the sky remained cloudy and grey (my favorite kind of weather) so I was surprised that my print came out.  It defines simplicity and defiance.
