Closed Door

This picture was taken a while back & while it may look like a film picture, it's digital.  I went to a fall festival in a small town with my mom where you can buy like, five pounds of broccoli for two bucks.  Anyways this door was originally bright turquoise colored, but after desaturating it in Photoshop the photo was so eerie, what with the blown leaves and the number thirteen address.

Flower Girl

Flower Girl conjoins lightness and darkness to create beauty.  Beauty in a lonely girl who tries to be herself and opens up only in secrecy.  Who tries to live life freely, who dares herself to try, and who grasps onto every past memory.  She has depth and emotion.  She's a human being.

This is my gorgeous best friend Sarah who I always use for impromptu photo shoots as you can probably tell, she's in most of my shots.  Honestly the best model in the world! So this story was all  shot in on location...her backyard.  All I wanted to emulate in these photos was the felling of eternity and delicacy, but then we ended up with lots of flowers and I went all out with it.  From a floral crown to a "granny-esque" sweater and my thrifted floral skirt.

Hey There Delilah

I made a full story editorial for my film project.  The gist of it is two people who meet over spring break, find humanity in each other, drink their problems away, have an extravagant time with one another, & in the end part ways.  The end is a little bit saddening, but sometimes it's better to leave a good memory as a good memory in your mind rather than continue it because it will never have the chance to become something less than perfect.

Empty Seat

There's something hauntingly beautiful about this, something a bit lonely.  Two empty seats to be filled, but no one to fill them with.  The photo was taken in a pocket park, which are extremely tiny parks mostly located in the city & if you don't look out, you can completely miss them.  They're like safe havens...secrets in a way.
